Rapunzel or Juliet, a photo from Lisboa, South

Photographer's Note

I think most of you know the story written by Brothers Grimm about the Rapunzel trapped in the tower. Or the story of Juliet who listened to Romeo’s compliments standing on the balcony. Both stories came to my mind here and I could not decide which one to use in the title. Here you may be able to spot three tourists enjoying the view from the balcony. In fact, if you are curious about the view, this is the exact balcony from which I took the following photo:

The Tower of Belem is so stylish and photogenic. Now of course I immediately connect it in my mind with Portugal but if seeing it for the first time I would rather think it must be an exotic destination in a faraway land.

An inside the Torre picture, well shown in a symmetrical upwards perspective, mariusz.
I found this monument more attractive from outside than inside, my humble opinion.

I must admit I've never heard of Rapunzel. What a strange name.

Much to fancy for Romeo and Juliet! (Have you ever seen the little much publicised balcony in Verona?)
This is a good photo of a much more impressive tower and walk way.
