Happy New Year!!, a photo from Aveiro, North

Photographer's Note

After a few weeks I'm back again to wish you a very Happy New Year. This time I chose a photo of the decorations in Бgueda. This town has become famous for its colourful umbrellas, which decorate the streets every summer. Well, at Christmas it's also decorated and this year I find it particularly beautiful.

Dear Ana, I would say you are back after a few months. ;-)
It's always nice to see you on the site, and this is a very elegant composition where the black umbrellas make a total change from the usual colourful ones. In spite of the dark dominance it's a very bright photo. The lamp is very nicely placed near the corner.

Hello Ana,
Very nice capture of this wonderfull decoration in Agueda. I've seen some similar street decorations but this is the first time with illuminated black umbrellas !
Taken with perfect pov and sharpness.

Lovely to see you here once again.
A fascinating installation with all the umbrellas and LED lights. The traditional street lamp that you included is a strong contrast.
Lovely sharp shot.
Unusual to see so many black umbrellas, we have become used to seeing multi-coloured ones suspended in the air.

Voilа une dйcoration originale pour noлl ! C'est trиs йlйgant, et la lampe procure un bon contraste avec le noir des parapluies, qui manquaient un peu de couleurs.

A great photo of all these umbrellas decorated with the many lit dots of the small lights. It makes a very festive mood and the contrast of the silvery light with the more golden tone of the lamp post. Happy New Year!

Hello Ana, I am so happy to see you again on TE. I was in Senegal in November and I visited similar places as you.
The hanging umbrellas are very popular but for the first time I see them with the lights. Elegant composition with the lantern.
