Photographer's Note

As soon as Spring starts and till the end of summer, there are several reenactments of Medieval Fairs in the country. Take became very popular these last years and they attract lost of visitors. Many of them take place in historical cities or villages. I go there whenever I can because I like them and because they are usually very good places for photos.
This one took place last year, in Vila Ruiva, a small village in the Alentejo. It's not a very big one, but I liked it a lot.

the close up view of the hand of the old man is so clear with the details to are captured and presented perfect with the snake to be the ice on the cake.

I am not a big fan of snakes especially because Australia has 7 / 10 of the world's deadliest serpents. This adder looks venomous. Tfs!

Hello Ana,
This is similar to the photo of the hands pouring the red wine, but cuddling a snake is more original. Also this time I am deeply impressed by the sharpness which allows us such an almost intimate view of the rough skin and nails. It's a quite sensational composition and the snake makes it a bit provocative. You can't miss this photo among the 18 thumbnails of the page.

A real wow shot, i have a fascination with poisonous snakes so this really creeps me out lol. This is still a cracking capture! clever stuff and its so detailed, the snake's head is placed using the 'rule of thirds' composition. The selective DOF is such that you've captured the context brilliantly. Excellent.
