Park D. Carlos I, a photo from Leiria, North

Hello friends,
Photo in the Park D. Carlos I in Caldas da Rainha, the building on the side of the photo is a thermal hospital Rainha Dona Leonor

Founded in 1485 by Queen D. Leonor, Caldas da Rainha Thermal Hospital is the oldest in the world, which has opened 5 centuries ago. In the 15th century (1485), Queen D. Leonor has founded a bathing institution and a thermal hospital, Caldas da Rainha. Legend has it that in 1484, the wife of King D. Joгo II, was travelling to Batalha, and when she passed by the place where the thermal stations would be built, she saw a few poor people bathing in “warm waters pouring through the steaming fountains”. Curious, she asked them what they were doing there, and they said that they were finding the cure for their illnesses and pain in those healing waters. D. Leonor thus decided to provide better conditions for water users. Thermal Hospital pavilion, built in the end of the 19th century, is a fine example of thermal architecture with its high windows.

This green location soon became the place, where thermal hospital patients used to walk. During Marques de Pombal period (the second half of the 18th century), it was transformed in a Baroque garden that was called Passeio da Copa. Redesigned in the end of the 19th century by Rodrigo Berquу, it took the shape of the current park and a lake was added to it. Game fields, former hospital pavilions, painting and sculpture Josй Malhoa Museum are located here.

White flower spots beautifully on the green grass, Goncalo.
Blue sky appear through the trees and clouds, gave fine contrast on.

Spring appears to have reached Portugal and the tiny flowers make a lovely pattern on the f/g grass. The bending trees complement the scene, almost hiding the grand spa from view.
Lovely colours and fine dof.

Hi Goncalo,

Using a wide angle lens has a special effect on the scene, everything is leaning backward. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the building and of the trees. The good luminosity is enhancing the colours. Have a nice day.

passei nesta cidade de passagem, pelos subъrbios. muitas vezes sгo cidades assim, sem muita coisa famosa para se ver, que nos surpreeendem com algo inesperado.
gostei muito da foto, mais uma vez a inclusгo das flores do gramado e das linhas das бrvores ficaram muito bonitas, aqui ainda mais com a adiзгo da fachada. bem feito.

en esta nueva composiciуn en el mismo parque has cambiado a un formato horizontal, pero has mantenido el punto de vista a ras del suelo para forzar una profunda perspectiva.
Me gusta la combinaciуn de la hierba, las pequeсas flores, los бrboles y la elegante arquitectura al fondo.
Es una bonita foto.
