The Ginjinha of the Plaza of S. Domingos, property of Gallego of Espinheira name, was the first establishment in Lisbon to commercialize the drink that gives the name to it, and that quickly it was changedded into a formerones of the city. For one advice frade of the Church of S. Antnio, Francisco Espinheira made the experience to leave to leaven ginjas of aguardente inside, joining sugar to it, water and cinnamon. The success was immediate, wants for being candy, it wants for being cheap, and the Ginginha was changedded into the typical drink of Lisbon. The business is at this moment in the hands of the fifth generation. Currently, "the Ginjinha" is the only exporter for the market of the U.S.A. The production of the Ginjinha patrol the 150 a thousand liters per year.
