Photographer's Note

The Cidadela de Cascais is the 15th century fort that guarded the western end of the Tejo estuary and the minor fishing harbour of Cascais. Today the castle overlooks the exclusive Cascais marina and the complex has been transformed into an exclusive hotel.

I've visited this place , but not been able to take a good picture of it . You've done very well here to show us a part of the high walls with palm and garden in the FG .

The palm fronds make a lovely frame for the architecture and make an interesting contrast with the grey-green tones of the well trimmed bushes below. Very good technical realisation.

The palm fronds act as a a good frame and give this image the look and feel of a north African location. Excellent sharpness and a good upward pov on the citadel. Tfs!

Good evening Daniel,
Found an unusual spot for this sight of the Citadel. The added green branches and the balls shaped plants off-set the grey stones wall in fine contrast.

Great picture with a surprising composition of these different elements and well-combined colours.
The soft grey-green bushes below, the clear green of the palm trees in the diagonal direction and the citadel and deep blue sky ad backdrop.

This fortress is not a graceful and easy to photograph structure, yet you managed to deliver a very good and interesting photo combining the walls, palm leaves and decorative plants in the foreground. Good sharpness and colors. Well done.
