Photographer's Note

Latitude 38 47 'North, Longitude, 9 30' West. The experts say that here is the westernmost point of continental Europe, coordinates of hope for those who navigate the coasts of Finisterrae. Not much, admittedly. Cames preferred to say the same for other words and left him a "where the land ends and sea begins." Simple, beautiful and as unquestionable as Latitude 38 47 'North, longitude 9 30' West. After all, perhaps the only difference between the poet's thoughts and reasoning of the geographer is only and only in the way of how everyone says the same things.
The landscape enters the soul and awakens the most "absurd desire to suffer" that Cesario Verde experienced a day in the streets of Lisbon, at dusk. Is the undergrowth devastated by the sea air, trying to survive among the crags of rock raw?
Then, after the lighthouse, is the head-on confrontation with the sea. Breathes the cost, sit back all the weight of the continent, while the eyes are opened to the invitation of the ocean. Cabo da Roca is the expression "stone raft" gets all its meaning, with the advantage of each one might feel helmsman, captain of the vessel or wreck. Or nostalgic sea, which is the starting symbol and hope of an eternal beginning. Right, right, is that nobody comes out how it got there and open up the magic portal of Cabo da Roca do not need password. Just go take a break in the week-end devoted to the temples of consumerism and recover a little, even just a little bit, that ancestral connection to land, nature and all that ennobles and raises awareness.
