Photographer's Note
To take this photo I took few steps back from the point of view which I showed you here:
https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo1601803.htm
As already mentioned there, the palm trees are gone. I am not sure what is the reason. I thought they decorated the place so nicely. If you paste the coordinates below into Google Maps, place the little yellow man on this spot and follow the historical view in the upper left corner you can see that indeed in 2009 the palm trees were still there but in May 2014 they were already gone. So they must have been remover between September 2009 and May 2014.
The charming building in the left houses the General Consulate of Brazil in Faro.

Hello Mariusz,
Elegant mansion of the General Consulate of Brazil in Faro.
Yellow and white colors typical Portuguese, though.
Fine contrast to the darker right side where the square with palm trees (used to be...).
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
You chose a nice angle along the fresh frontage, with all the small poles and palmtrees.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.
Excellent picture, very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Mariusz,
A nice composition, well-balanced between the square and the palm trees and the charming building in white and yellow. The tower stands out so well from the blue sky as well. The weather looks wonderful, much better than when I visited Faro.

Hello Mariusz,
At the time I did not visit Faro and since the palm trees are now gone, it may no longer be necessary.
Another pic with the shadow of a palmtree that beautifully fills the foreground.
The building may have a Brazilian presence, but the style and colours are so typical of Portugal.
I think the combination of white and yellow is by far the most common in Portugal, more so than in other Mediterranean countries.
The blue sky provides a splendid colour combination.
Best regards, Paul

Czesc Mariusz
Super kolory, fajne polaczenie niebieskiego i zoltych elementow architektury. Szkoda tych palm, sa prawdziwa ozdoba tego miejsca. Dobrze chociaz ze zdazyles je sfotografowac i zrobic rowniez dobry uzytek z cienia, ktory swietnie wypelnia pierwszy plan.
Wlasciwie, moralnie rzecz biorac, moge uzasadnic dawanie dzieciom przyborow szkolnych. Ale samej zdazalo mi sie czasem tez rozdawac pieniadze i slodycze (czasami po to, zeby dzieci mnie nie pogonily). :-) Coraz bardziej jestem ciekawa, o jaki kraj afrykanski chodzi.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hi Mariusz
This area would look very bare now without the palms. A good photo of the area with the building having an almost oriental look to the roof.
cheers

mariusz
this is a traditional portuguese architecture with the white adorned with the frames in yellow or blue. that small tower has details in the points of the roof, it is a kind of imitation of chinese (chinesices) it was a kind of fashion in those days.

Hello Mariusz,
I love this view with a touch Brazilian ... well, after all it's a the General Consulaite of Brazil.
I must admit, it's one fine pristine building. I just love the round windows on the wall, so sweet and pretty.
It's a real pity to see the palm trees , no longer there. I would have thought that the council will replant ... at least something 'greenery' to this place.
Even better, to bring back the fascinating 'shadows' on the pavement.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful shot of faro.

Hello Mariusz,
Another lovely scene from Faro.
I like the shadow of the palm tree, in the f/g, an introduction to the actual trees further back.
The line of small verticals is very useful as an additional guide.
The house does look very similar in style to those Jorge has been posting. It is very dependant on its carefully painted exterior to bring out the patterns and create a real presence.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
