Letzte Bratwurst vor Amerika, a photo from Algarve, South

Photographer's Note

When I mentioned "The End of the World", I meant this exact spot marked by the lighthouse, Farol do Cabo de Sгo Vicente. There is another point in Portugal, further north, closer to Lisbon, which is even further west from this point but if you look at the map this spot seems to be more dramatic, more pointing towards the unknown. When I looked at the Google Maps, I started to laugh seeing some names of the food stalls near the lighthouse. There was one called "Caravana de Fish and Chips" clearly catering to British tourists, and another one called "Letzte Bratwurst vor Amerika", aiming at the German clientele, advertising the last sausage before America.

Unfortunately, no stall with 'last pierogi' for the many Polish travellers on TE.
Great view of the lighthouse at the tip of the cape.
Is that the fortress we see with the large compass rose?
At a certain spot on the cliffs apparently something was regularly poured down. The rocks have changed colour. Or masses of seagulls have relieved themselves in the same place...

in 1980 I was here with my cousin, we were collecting stamps and we saw a lady selling them at entrance of the building and we asked her the price and she turned her eyes for us with an intense despise: -- Oh, children, sorry, but these are only for foreign tourists, not for you!
a nice classic view. I have a photo with my parents here in 1968.

Hello Mariusz.
This coast near Cabo San Vicente, has a great beauty with those high rocky cliffs, your beautiful composition that includes the lighthouse and an unequivocal proof of it, here you have captured very well all the nuances and textures of the rocks, with those inlets that the strength of the Atlantic has been creating.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
