600,000 spectators packed the banks of the Douro River in Porto and Gaia, Portugal for the eighth leg of the Red Bull Air Race World Series. Roads came to a standstill and trains were sold out as thousands flocked to watch the race, making it the biggest single-day sporting event in Portuguese history. Steve Jones (GBR/Team Matador) beat Mike Mangold (USA/Team Cobra) by 0.38 of a second in a thrilling battle and had his first victory of the season.

While everybody takes the photos of Red Bull racers, i always prefer the photos depicting the viewer. This is great! Awesome crowd in front of an awesome town. This image is like the image of a toy town. Congrats,

Good pov to show the crowd people at bank of river and also colourful local houses at the slope, I saw people fully enjoy especially some people at balcony, good composition of the games you had introduce, good shoot and thanks for sharing.

600,000 is really a great rush for the sports. I like your POV here. You have made it almost horizontal symmetry and the people and the orange roof tops are the main attraction.

Beautiful and colored city, I don't like the Red Bull drink but the air race is a good idea and I appreciate it, your image is well done and have beautiful view over the city, the bank is really crowed of people, well done Goncalo, beautiful and interesting image, compliments.

Uma imagem inйdita dessas margens do Douro; normalmente vemos as casas e pouca gente (em comparaзгo). Em suma, ficou uma foto extremamente interessante, que sу se repetirб se voltar este evento ao rio.

you're sure that all these people were standing there to watch a race? I think they were all there to get included in a photography done by the world known photographer G. Lopes! ;-)
A very good POV giving the impression that you were in one of the racer boats. The front view of that city is colorful and beautiful. Great shot!

Porto along the Douro, filled with spactators waiting for the Red-Bull race, taken with perfect POV as light and depth created a vibrant photo.
Famouse red roof-tops of Ribeira district are beautiful seen.
