Photographer's Note

Уbidos is a town and a municipality in the Oeste Subregion in Portugal. The town proper has approximately 3100 inhabitants.

The area of the old town is located on a hilltop, encircled by a fortified wall. Уbidos remains a well-preserved example of medieval architecture; its streets, squares, walls and its castle are a popular tourist destination. The castle now houses a pousada (hotel).

Toujours photogeniques les photos de cette ville avec ces teintes, bel effet entre le jaune et le bleu du ciel, bon effet aussi de profondeur d'image avec la perspective de la murette en avant-plan.

Salut Stephen,

The yellow stripe on the top of the bg building contrasts superbly with the blue sky. I like the repetition of the earthy red brown terra cotta pots and the flowers. Tfs!

Pleasant buildings in a well balanced and perfectly exposed photo. Several diagonal lines give the photo a fine structure. The flower pots and people are all good eye-catchers.

I was hoping that you would explain what the figure was watching ... or did you intend it to mean that you are watching!
Whatever, it is a photograph displaying excellent clarity in perfect sunlight!
The lead line is good and the composition very well judged.

An interesting choice of viewpoint that shows off a charming part of the old town so well in the context of its surroundings. The light is rich enough to bring out the colour in the buildings and all captured in very fine detail. People's participation lends this a handsome end result. Great shot, Congrats.

you know, i think i remember where this is exactly - but then again I could be totally wrong. Is there graffiti down below in the alley way...do you recall? just curious. classic Lisbon architecture and colours with the hint of yellow striping. nice one. cheers
