I'm not sure I would like to be doing this job. In Britain there would have to be all sorts of harnesses, cradles and ropes to keep him safe.But it does make an interesting image. The building is next to the magnificent market in Funchal. Reflections are interesting.

Hello David,

my neighbour today! Although we have been in Funchal in 2014, I can't pretend that I exactly remember this building which in its style fits perfectly to the Mercado dos Lavradores.
As far as Google Maps tells me, it is the bow of the Oudinot shopping mall.
Anyway, working safety is not regarded highly in many south european countries, and by theme and performance, you scored a direct hit.

It is the character doing a task that completes the scene, that little touch of pinky-red and the action.

Hello David!
I remember the wonderful market hall but not this building.
the building probably didn't stand in 1998.
I recognize a cabin of the cable car from your last upload.
It is a fine composition with the person in a dangerous position and nice to see the many typical old buildings at both sides.

Hi David,
I remember this building in Funchal, it attracted my attention as well, although nobody was cleaning it when I was there.
I see you were in November and you had similar weather to mine. I suppose it is easier to accept in November than in June.

yes, interesting photo/scene for sure.
the building itself is quite unique and odd. It almost has a 1930's Art Deco feel to it. love the rounded blue clock, that's my favorite part. Fun scene
