Photographer's Note

Another shot of the Palace on the Isle (Łazienki Palace) in Warsaw. It dates from 1689 and began as a bathhouse. "During World War II, the occupying Germans drilled holes in the palace walls in preparation for blowing it up. They never got around to carrying out the planned destruction."

Hello Chris,
This is good. You took a few steps back and found a much better composition than the average one. The couple watching the lake and castle standing among the trees make a lot of difference and change the usual postcard view into a really fine photo.

Hello Chris, this shot is enhanced by the beautiful light creating a lovely atmosphere, as we follow the lead in lines of the stone slabs taking us down to the lake and the distant palace.
The couple are perfectly placed and complete the picture.

I love this!
The stepping stones make the perfect guide, from the corner to the couple standing between the trees. In the distance we can see the palace, separated from them by a stretch of calm, blue water.
It is beautifully composed and has a lovely, romantic ambience.

I remember hear about an history where the nazis had a plan to destroy every historic monument of poland to wash their past and clean the national feeling, making an easier occupation. some lost were photographed before to be rebuilt after. marvelous place and photo, the couple produced a special visual impact. perfect.
