Underground cathedral - grave crypt.

Przemysl is a city in south-eastern Poland with, it became part of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship; it was previously the capital of Przemysl Voivodeship.

Przemysl owes its long and rich history to the advantages of its geographic location. The city lies in an area connecting mountains and lowlands known as the Przemy¶l Gate, with open lines of transportation, and fertile soil. It also lies on the navigable San River. Important trade routes that connected Central and Eastern Europe passed through Przemysl and ensured the city's importance.

The Cathedral of Przemysl officially the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist in Przemysl (Polish: Bazylika archikatedralna Wniebowziкcia Naj¶wiкtszej Maryi Panny i ¶w. Jana Chrzciciela w Przemyslu) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Przemysl, Poland. It is the main church of the Archdiocese of Przemy¶l, located at the Cathedral Square in the Old Town.
The first cathedral of the Diocese was a wooden church which existed from 1375 to 1412, standing in the square beside the present church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From 1412 - 1460 a Ruthenian Orthodox cathedral built of stone stood in the courtyard of Przemysl Castle which it was strongly associated with.
Construction of the present cathedral in the Gothic style began with the Chapter of Bishop Nicholas Bіaїejowski in 1495. Only the walls and pillars remain from this building. The reconstruction was completed in the first decades of the sixteenth century. In 1578 the mayor of Przemysl, Secretary of the Crown - Jan Tomasz Drohojowski (d. 1605), founded the present chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. Founded on the site earlier rotunda St. Nicholas. Because of the continuous threat of incursions of the Tartars and Wallachians, it is a fortified church, surrounded by a wall and is equipped with a cannon.

Hello Krzysztof,
The light conditions were difficult in this crypt, but you still managed to handle the lighting and exposure very successfully. The photo is clear and the details are well visible.

The photo conditions in this dark crypt could not have been ideal, but you captured the view with excellent sharpness and very well managed light and colours. Given the limited options it is also a very neatly composed photo.

Witaj Krzysztof,

I am impressed by the light management with the colors and resolution presented to their best effect. There is a confusing optical illusion here, however. Are we looking sideways or vertically?

Kolejne zdjecie z krypty tej katedry gdzie dobrze poradziles sobie z trudnymi warunkami. Ciemno w takich miejscach a jesli jest oswietlenie to powoduje duze kontrassty. Tu wyszło dobrze.

Here I have more the impression to be in a crypt than in a museum.
Nevertheless, no damp dark space. But the red bricks and the purple coffins add a nice colour to the image.

This is really interesting, the coffins are well decorated and illuminated, too. I am assuming these are important people in the history of this church.
