The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Wrocіaw, (Polish: Archikatedra ¶w. Jana Chrzciciela, German: Breslauer Dom, Kathedrale St. Johannes des Tдufers), is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Wrocіaw and a landmark of the city of Wrocіaw in Poland. The cathedral, located in the Ostrуw Tumski district, is a Gothic church with Neo-Gothic additions. The current standing cathedral is the fourth church to have been built on the site.

What a cathedral this is, its red brick is striking and even more so in this light which creates such deep and beautifully rich shadows. The spires seem to reach up forever!

the facade is very tall and most impressive, the play of light and shadow has given it an even more spectacular and fascinating aspect. I like how it fills the vertical frame, your composition is great (although I think that the ladies' presence is a little distracting.) Looking at the thumbnail I thought the cathedral was illuminated with a red light. But it are the red bricks that provide such a beautiful colour.
