Photographer's Note

May 29, 1940 came from the concentration camp at Dachau group of prisoners belonging to the so-called. Aussenkommando led by SS-Untersturmfhrer Beck. Its members consisted of: a prisoner of German nationality (Kapo) and 39 Poles, young men, mostly middle school students from Lodz. The commando is brought back with him wagon barbed wire fence next to the camp. Placed in the barracks of the former barracks kitchen and hired to build the first, makeshift fences, stretched on wooden poles.
