Photographer's Note
This picture of this tree has been taken in Botanical Garden in Wroclaw - Poland.
Buckeyes are distinctive trees, known for their early spring flowers and for the seeds that have inspired the name of this unique family of trees. The nut-like seeds are shiny and dark brown, with a light-colored spot that gives them the appearance of a deer’s eye.

Hello Barbara,
It almost appears as if arms emanating from the prickly green heads have reached out to grasp the tree limb. Sharp, colorful and well composed photo. Have a good Sunday,
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Barbara,
Great close-up on this tree completely unknown to me. Well composed with good light management and fine control over depth of field. Very good colours and excellent clarity.

Hi Barbara,
Learning about the world, I never knew of this name for this tree! I know these as horse chestnut, and the nut inside I call conkers. As children we would thread shoelaces through the nuts and smash them against each other. I can really understand now I read your note where the name buckeye comes from, it does look like an eye! A very nice close up shot of this tree, and a great sign of life returning to the world.
Thanks as always
Noel

Czesc Barbara,
Piekna naturalna kompozycja. Kasztanowiec ma w sobie cos wyjatkowego. Te owoce odrozniaja go od wszystkich innych drzew.
Piekne zblizenie z przyjemnie rozmyta zielenia w tle.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M
