I really liked the lion at top right surveying the scene. Taken in the old town market square area of Warsaw, along Świętojańska Street. A different view I found on the net with better lighting.

Hello Chris,
It was a nice idea to the Lion decorative element with the short skyline from that POV.
Red and brown with some yellow tones domination the old architecture over there.

Hello Chris,

This lion makes an unexpected but very apt subject for a photograph. Its position on the building is excellent, as it surveys the city.
I think the problem for you is how low the buildings are, giving a lot of empty sky which adds little to the overall impact.
I wondered if it would work cropping half the photograph so that there is more attention on the buildings and the lion is still strongly placed.
I tried it and it does work better, sadly I cannot post it for you as I have already had my quota for the day!!

Hello Chris,
The lion is the main feature here, although I had to see a larger version to discover it. I like the colours of the buildings, with just a green wall breaking the pattern of yellow and orange tones. I still find it hard to understand that all of this must have been built after WW2.

A really nice shot of the warm colours of the faзades around the square underneath the blue sky. The sculpture of the lion is very well included at right as well.

Hello Chris,
Strange, I cannot remember seeing this lion on one of the walls of the old town market square.
It is, of course, quite modest.
Maybe I'm not as good at observation.
Wonderful facades. Two or three have several statues on top.
At the other houses we mainly see antennas on the roofs.

Hello Chris, I think that there are here on TE many photos of the lower parts of the houses in Warsaw Old Town Market. But the lion in the corner looks nice. Good colours. Almost 8 years have passed since our walk.

Very well spotted indeed. I don't recall ever seeing it before. But I was in Warsaw maybe like three times or so.
The one in better light makes it to better stand out of the picture. The light makes such a big difference.
