Photographer's Note
After couple of months I continue my theme Passing away. The photo was taken in retirement centre, inside the building. That was sunny day, the light was coming in through the window buy she was not in the ray. After I turned it into B&W I used unsharp mask with angle about 20px and small amount - to emphasize certain details of the face. Final sharpening - with radius 0.4px.

A wonderful image, Piotr, of a neglected subject. We seem mesmerized by little colored children from around the world, but older folks don't inspire the same feelings of tenderness. Perhaps it is because I'm aware of my own aging and mortality, but I look with softer eyes at people of my age and older, who wait, often for the inevitable deterioration of the body and the eventual leave taking of those we love.
To my eye, this image might be stronger if you didn't crop quite so tightly. Perhaps more of her hand, or more of the dark space to the left. This seems a bit intrusive to me, though I appreciate that such choices are very personal and I respect you decision here.
The details are finely rendered and I applaud your decision to convert the image to black and white, with what appears a touch of sepia filter. I look forward to looking at the other images in this theme. Thanks for sharing your work.

A wonderful portrait.. there is much we can see in her eyes, but can se really understand what she is thinking. There is something about the way she holds her hand in front of her mouth as if she knows that at her age there is nothing she can say anymore, nobody will listen to her..
