Photographer's Note

Flydal viewing point over the Geiranger fjord. We can see two big ships anchored there.
Geiranger and Hellesylt are attractive fjordland towns, it is beyond these ports, however, where the beauty really lies. Both are set on the spectacular Geirangerfjord where you can hear, then see a glacial stream, turned waterfall, plummeting hundreds of feet over sheer rock into Horindalsvannet, Europe's deepest lake.

Hoje vou ser o primeiro possivelmente porque a apanhei com uma grande captura e no momento certo ;)))

Nгo do Brasil mas da Noruega. Excelente ponto de vista com grande profundidade de campo e um DOF magnifico. A Luminosidade nestes paises й sempre dificil de medir e consegui aqui aquilo que alguns naturais fotografos destes ambietes nгo o fazem com este "Insight"!

Tudo perfeito, enquadramento com os barcos no Fiord excelente, cores, luminosidade e contraste.

Que lugar bonito..! paisagem completamente diferente das nossas, montanhas. A gente fica imaginando como esses "bigs ships" chegam aн...e o que estгo fazendo em um lugar aparentemente tгo isolado...

No sуlo es un bonito paisaje, sino que esta foto me enseсa algo interesante. Parece mentira que esos barcos tan grandes puedan navegar por un fiordo que parece tan estrecho. Preciosa vista. Me gusta el humo o vapor que sale de una de las chimeneas. Sуlo le pedirнa un poco mбs de contraste a esta foto.

Two months ago i was in Oslo, but didn't have the oportunity to see the fjord in the northern part of the country.
This is a beautiful picture and a beautiful place. I'll try in the future to go back and see this area.

Very nicely framed, Leonor--it really feels like I'm standing at the edge, looking down. The ships are put in context very well by the magnificent landscape.

The colors appear somewhat undersaturated, maybe it's just my monitor.

Hi Leonor, I like the grand view from the top to the valley and the lake. Nice to see the steam come out from the boat and the reflections on the lake. Nice contrast of the color and the light; good depth.

Des paysages qu'un ne peut partiquement trouver que la-bas.

Olб Leonor, desculpa o sumiзo, eu queria comentar essa foto, mas estava sem tempo, pois queria fazer um workshop nessa tambйm!

Eu gostei da composiзгo, os navios no meio dessas montanhas dб um ar medieval. Sу achei a foto muito clara e com um pouco de ruнdo no fundo prуximo aso barcos e do lago.

No workshop sу tentei corrigir a claridade, esparo que goste.

Que paisagem magnifica! O alto Rio Douro no norte de Portugal tem paisagens semelhantes a esta, mas com a particularidade de uma boa parte das encostas estar trabalhada em socalcos, criando degraus, para o cultivo das vinhas que se transformarгo no famoso vinho do Porto.

Infelizmente nгo conheзo pessoalmente mas o facto de ser patrimуnio da humanidade atesta a beleza desse local.

O enquadramento e ponto de vista й muito bom pois traz profundidade а composiзгo. O rio funciona como uma linha de guia bem reforзada pelas diagonais das encostas. O pormenor dos barcos resulta muito bem ao trazer elementos curiosos а composiзгo. Um pouco mais de contraste melhorava a nitidez da imagem.

The title has interested me, since the thumbnail was not so alluring, but I am not disappointed. I could certainly criticize the colors a bit faded and the lightly foggy effect in the background but your point of view is just splendid, the small fjord nearly completly enclosed by the mountains plus the two cruise ships moored inside just to prove we are seeing a real fjord and not a lake. Thanks for sharing,
