This is the same place as in my former postings on this theme What we see is the backside of an old barn about to fall down, with rubbish and old farm equipment scattered all over the place. Quite a depressing sight, even for me who have no relations to farming as a trade! That is why I choose a sepia tone here, to soften the sad impression of decay

Unfortunately this is the reality for many small farming units in rural Norway farms that used to bring a meagre but still an outcome for a family, is no longer regarded as having a future. The younger generation prefer to seek their carriers in other trades, resulting in many places like this around the country.

However, the fields are usually taken over by neighbouring farms that are getting bigger while the overall number of farms is reduced year by year. The requirements from changing times are often cruel to small family units like this one used to be
