Well, it's nothing much I think..yesterday there was a marvellous sunset here..and I've been following it for a long time, taking several shots when time passed by. The sky was ever changing, I saw beautiful things yesterday..later on the sky turned red, it seemed as if everything was on fire. I might post a photo of that later. I hope this is one nice impression of what happened.
I just stepped out the door of my house and positioned the setting sun on the end of my street..in between the houses.
You can just see a bit of how the houses look like here..maybe you can learn that ;)

Well it's a bit a decisive moment, since the sky was changing, but I decided to rather add it to Daily Life & Nature..although I wished daily (nature) life was like that evening!

Usually not a big fan of sunset shots. But this one works for me. Of course, the colours are spectacular. But I also think you make good use of the dark street compositionally. It provides perspective.

Nice shot, Emiel. The contrast and colors between the skay and the ground is captured very well. I like the slight blur of the clouds too.

"It's nothing much I think" zeg je in je note....nou, ik vind het heel wat hoor :-)
Dit is een prachtige foto, die zonsondergang is echt heel mooi, en de verschillende kleuren in de wolkenlucht heb je ook echt mooi vastgelegd.
Heel goed perspectief ook en goeie silhoutten.

you found the right position ... you are lucky that there arenґt TOO many houses! The moment is also well chosen: itґs already a bit dark - but there is enough light to see how the houses look like. Especially the reflections of evening light in the windows are very impressive!

Hey Emiel,

Well interesting shots can be made just out of your home. An interesting twist on shooting sunsets, you had this composition well thinked of. I like the one point perspective on potrait angle, the vast blue sky reading is well exposed. Sharpness is superb ;) Also the way the photo dictates the eye to look from foreground up. Nice wide angle shot!

Lovely shot here. You really captured a lovely sunset. I like the way you captured the houses on either side--how they kind of slope inwards. It draws the eye toward the sun and the horizon. Great job.

I really like sunsets (as you can see on my gallery) and I have to say that this one is excellent. The way the colours go from yellow to deep blue is wonderful and the cloud pattern is very good. You also framed the sun very well with the houses and the tree. Well done.
