Photographer's Note
As borders in Europa are fading away due to the fact that we have the European Union and the Schengen Treaty, borderlines are slowly vanishing.
This broken bodermarker (# 409) on the border of The Netherlands and Germany is symbolic for that: the power of nature is stronger than the man-made concrete of this stone.
For those interested: to the left is The Netherlands, right side is Germany.
Maybe not my best photo, but it is my symbol to mark my 500th upload on TE!
I thank you all for the attention and comments on this and previous uploads in the last eight years.

Hello ,
Congratulations for your 500 post on TE ; i like especailly the symbolism of this one . The old bordermarker is going to fall down . No more frontiers in Europe , for the best or for the worst ...

Dag dear Jan
Congratulations on your 500th photo, represented by 409! It's meaning is so very relevant to what is happening in our world today and indeed here on TE: the breaking down of barriers and (hopefully) nature triumphing!? Beautiful colours and sharpness and a great choice of subject which is both poignant and significant.
Warmest regards
Lisa
