As Asked by Lousat, a bit more information about Tholen:

The little town of Tholen has been built around the 13th century. The streets have a quite "medieval" look and even the "Old house" where we are living in looks like coming from a drawing by Anton Pieck.

This view is about the main canal (gracht) around our little town.

Je note ici un parfait contrфle de l'exposition.
La brume associйe au givre donne une certaine ambiance mystйrieuse; le contre jour avec le soleil voilй est trиs apprйciable.

Hoi Viviane,
Prachtige plaat! Uitgebalanceerde compositie. Het riet op de voorgrond geeft goed diepte. De schaatsers met hun donkere kleding staan er mooi in. Sfeervol met het zonnetje zo door de mist. Erg mooi!

I just cant seem to get enough of these dutch misty-windmill-skating pictures. They all seem so great. Your one does as well, exactly because of that misty-windmill-skating factor. :)

Hello Viviane,
This is a beautiful shot - such subtle colours and delicate shapes. The composition is perfect, using the band of frosted grasses to give 'weight' and interest to the foreground and placing the figures well.
A haunting and memorable image.

Hi Viviane! It's beautiful in Holland when the water freezes... This seems an especially pretty place where you are. I remember people skating on the canals in Leiden one year, but by the time we got hold of some skates, it was too late!

j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphиre qui se dйgage de cette photo, а l'image de certains tableaux jaunis ou vielles cartes de Noлl. Chouette luminositй et malgrй le peu de lumiиre, tout est trиs prйsent sur scиne...
