Photographer's Note
The last picture in the "Circus"-serie and here's the high head of the giraffe which can be seen in my previous shot.
There was my question: "What is a giraffe doing in a circus ?" Well, nothing actually.....
I spoke with my "train-mate" who visited the circus with her children and the first thing I asked, what that giraffe was doing and she explained, that the giraffe was only walking in the ring to take some parts of fruit from children in the audience, isn't that funny ? ? And it is a very sweet giraffe, she said and when you see this portrait....
The title is another song from the band Uriah Heep and indeed, I was a huge Heep-fan in the seventies, especially singer David Byron was my favourite, unfortunately died in 1985 but still in my mind....

Bonjour, mon ami Hans,

Goed gedaan,
John.

I like the 'in your face' element to this shot, I also like the off centre POV - TFS :)

Good PoV: it seems that your camera was almost in front of the face of this animal which is very difficult considering how tall they are. About the off-centre, this is good here in my opinion but probably can be discussed because the left of the picture is empty and not balanced.
I think that this picture is slightly underexposed, and the colors of the giraffe could stand out with other exposition. I hope you will like my WS trying to improve it.

I am a bit (not too much) annoyed that a part of the top of the antennas are missing, the Tv is not working like this :-)) but I am glad of the subject, these animals like Lamas, camels, are so photogenic with funny looking heads and you have done well with this miss Giraffe. Nobody realy knows if she is sad or questionning something like where does the world go ?

well, let say she looks quiet 'proud' of herself, maybe she saw herself in the reflections of your lens ;-)
toffe foto, niet gemakkelijk om een scherpe foto van een diren gezicht te maken,
dus knapp, sympatieke foto!
groetjes

Hello Hans,
Pretty portrait of this charming giraffe, which seems posed.
I find right damage to have cut the horns to her.
Cordially, Dino.

Hi, Hans. This caught my attention, since I posted a similar head shot of a Giraffe in Nature a while ago. Interesting POV and crop with space to the left..
Cheers
