Rainy Day in Bitola, a photo from Bitola, West

Photographer's Note

A rainy day in the wet streets of Bitola. Normally I prefer blue sky but if I spot a good photo opportunity in adverse weather, I try and capture it. Bitola is situated in the south west part of North Macedonia about 14 km north of the Medћitlija-Nнki border crossing with Greece. I was surprised to see that the elevation is 576 metres above sea level. It didn't seem that cold or high to me. Lake Ohrid is about 70 km due west.

Chris, excellent street view showing the pedestrians holding umbrellas to protect them against the rain. It is a commercial street with many shops, nice architecture details too. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Hello Chris,
The weather was dreadful but the umbrellas and the reflections in the wet street enabled you to take a surprisingly bright and pleasant photo.

Hello Chris,

This is a good, rainy day, if you know what I mean!
There are lots of colourful umbrellas, the pavements are wet and reflective and sky does have defined clouds, not just greyness.
You have angled the shot well and used the figures to advantage.

Comme quoi on peut faire de la trиs belle photo par jour de pluie. Il suffit d'un pavй qui rйflйchit et d'une foule pressйe et aussi de belles maisons en ligne de fuite.

great rainy day photo!
We see not only the umbrellas which already add a lovely touch but also the wet pavement which is something I really like to have in a photo. The reflexes in the pavement are so vivid and colorful.

I'm not sure whether this wet pavement is reflecting colours of the surroundings or the tiles have different colours of themselves. But despite the bad weather you present us a bright and colourful picture.
The atmosphere even seems quite pleasant.
Some young people are enjoying walking in the rain.

It was a pity that it rained of course, but it created some fantastic reflections in the pavement as well. Also the umbrellas in the foreground add some nice red tones to the picture. The faзades of the street have got some fine details. Well captured from a good angle.
