Photographer's Note

Classic shot, I know... It's just to show to TE visitors that the obelisque (the biggest out of Egypt) that stands in that place was in a roman circus at the left of this Basilique. The pope who ordered to put the egyptian monolythe in there, threated the people who worked with death if they speak during the great removal. To avoid one of the ropes to break, a brave man screamed and saved the obelisque from a fall. The pope congratulated him instead of ordering his death !
