Not to many pics. of this famous leaning tower on TE. Here is my contribution from a visit in Sep. 2001 in the very best fall weather.

To the left you can see the strong cables used to keep the tower in place when work was done to stabilize the ground. The tower was leaning more and more and a chance for the whole thing to fall down was present. I think to day that this work is finished.
The area for the tower also include other beautiful buildings from the 1300-1400. Between the buildings beautiful green grass and asphalted paths and streets.

When down to Pisa (who also is a part of Tuscany) you will close by find the village Vinci that is the birth place of Leonardo da Vinci. Interesting place with a nice museum dedicated Leonardo.
