Group of the Mourners - Church of Our Lady of Grace - SantAnatolia di Narco (PG)
Inside the church of the Madonna delle Grazie, in front of the niche on the right wall, there is a wooden crucifix from the 16th century with the statues of the Madonna Addolorata and San Francesco, coming from the former church of Santa Croce, later housed in the parish church and removed from there following the seismic events of 2016. The group, called dei Dolenti, shows a strong proximity to Florentine models of the early sixteenth century, however, it is probably of Marche origin.
It would seem to be the result of an assembly that took place in an unspecified period, the statues, apparently contemporary and belonging to the same school, however, have different stylistic characteristics.
