Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
My photograph shows a very pretty, Medieval village, rarely posted on TE.
The village is Lucignano.
It was just a short drive from Castello di Modanella, where we were staying.
The village was full of historic charm and people were both welcoming and friendly. The streets are circular, a feature from its historic past.
There was a festival on when we were there and many streets or buildings were decorated with flags.
I will add a workshop showing such a street.
Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Indeed a very pretty, Medieval village, certainly the narrow street and nice old frontages.
You chose a good, angle with the flowers as additional colour.
The woman are a nice addition for the scale, also more life on the picture
Lovely structure and pleasant panorama view about this lovely landscape.
Very well done, TFS.
Kindest regards,
John.

Hello Bev,
This seems to be the first photo on TE showing this village from street level. Both photos show it to be very pretty. I might even prefer the WS where we get a longer view of the winding narrow street. But both photos have beautiful colours and at least one person each playing an important role.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The presence of the woman is animating the scene. The length of the street is giving dynamism to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. Have a nice day.

Hi Bev
A charming village, with the people in it giving life. Just the sort of place to amble around finding something interesting around the next corner.

Hello Beverley,
It must had been very difficult to choose between the two pictures, the WS post is no-less beautiful and vivid as the main.
Looking at the Google-Map virtual tour, I assume this is the old part of the village, general location at 43.275, 11.746 approx. on the map.
Good evening,
Ike

Hello Beverley, a village that I have never seen or heard of before, it looks a charming place to wander around, soaking up the atmosphere.
Both shots look lovely in the sunlight. Both benefiting from the presence of people.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Beverley,
Such a charming view of this narrow street with some appealing old façades, which are lit so well by the bright sunlight. The flowers and people are also nicely included.

Hi Bev
I've also stayed in that region (in Montefellonica)but don't think I visited that village. It looks like another of those beautiful Tuscan medieval villages. A good pair of photos and good that you caught human touches as well.
cheers

Hello Bev,
The woman walking down the street and the man standing in the shadows animate the scene. Good sharpness and the road adds perspective. Tfs1

Hello Beverley,
I've never heard of this place before.
Also only three pictures of this village have appeared on TrekEarth.
It looks like a quiet village. Actually, I have a slight preference for your photo in the WS.
In any case, a village where you can stroll through and enjoy the beautiful houses that were brightened up with flags in honour of the festival.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Beverly
Compared to the workshop edition, I'm convinced you chose this upload with the objective of adding more colorful subtlety to the right-hand side of your street view leading the onlookers to a spectacular voyage back in time.
I wouldn't have been surprised to encounter the late Fernandel wearing biretta and holding breviary or an horseman in shiny armour riding down this inviting vintage street :)
You managed an impeccable photo technique in all particulars that incites to a photo treasure hunting in those lovely premises.
Cheers

Hi Bev.
Magnificent composition, with a wonderful perspective of the line of charming typical facades, ideal compensation with the opposite sidewalk where we see the greenery of plants and flowers, the two people we see put the vital touch.
Very good color that highlights the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness management, to enjoy the details.
Very well done. I like.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
