Hermitage of SantIsacco - Monteluco - Spoleto (PG)

The name is improper, since in all likelihood St. Isaac never lived in this place and the current name seems to be quite late. It incorporates the hermitages of San Giovanni de griptis and Santa Maria de gripta, whose names allude to the numerous caves in the surroundings.
They are among the oldest hermit settlements on the mountain.
After the dissolution of the Congregation of the Hermits of Monteluco in 1795, this hermitage also became part of the property of the hospital of San Carlo dei Proietti or degli Esposti.
