Red and snow, a photo from Milan, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

Certainly a black and white with a red umbrella is not a new idea. But I wanted to do something special to exploit the return of snow and not being able to get away from my country because of work. So I used this function of my camera that I discovered after 4 years of use, and this is the result. Pic taken in Vicolo Palazzo, a few meters from my bar, with the extraordinary presence of a model who is also a member of TE.

ROSSO E NEVE

Certamente un bianco e nero con un ombrello rosso non и una nuova idea. Ma volevo fare qualcosa di particolare per sfruttare il ritorno della neve e non potendo allontanarmi dal mio paese a causa del lavoro. Cosм ho sfruttato questa funzione della mia macchina fotografica che ho scoperto di avere dopo 4 anni di utilizzo, e questo и il risultato. Fotografia scattata in Vicolo Palazzo, a pochi metri da mio bar, con la presenza straordinaria di una modella che и anche membro di TE.

Ciao Luciano, non sarа un'idea nuova, ma funziona bene, che poi di colori, a parte l'ombrello ce ne erano pochi, ottima nitidezza e bel taglio, bravo, ciao Silvio

Lepo pokazano mesto i trenutak, dobar kontrast i ostrina, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak.
Kod mene je krenuo lep dan sa suncem, sneg se otopio u gradu.

Excellent impression of this rare, snowy day. The B&W works very well here and the very red umbrella is the perfect eye-catcher in the middle. Very well captured with superb sharpness.

Tu as bien capturй le dйplacement de la personne sous le parapluie. Le parapluie rouge attire le regard. Il y a un bon contraste entre les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journйe.

haha, this one catches our attention right away.
looking at the composition, you could have even cropped the photo to eliminate the legs, but thats just a thought. the red umbrella really does work well here, it POPS. nice one

I liked a lot of the red in the middle of the grey-white environment with the lines of the door creating a perfect background. at same time the tracks in the ground, the texture of the snow falling and the personage in movement added more interest to the compo. perfect and very beautiful.

I don't think you could have cropped this photograph any better!
The curved floor, with the progressing footsteps, link extremely well with the strong image of the lady and her big, red umbrella.
Her dark coat, flecked with snow flakes, seems to add a sense of movement.
The pale b/g matches the snow and makes a good surface against which to show the figure.

Well spotted with good sense of movement away from focal length to get out of the snowy weather and touch of red to hook to eye. Shallower dof would lend this more impact imho, Well done. Congrats.

So, your camera has a feature that will leave red in color and desaturate everything else? Can you select any color? It must be called the Schindler effect, I had seen it for the first time in the movie Schindler's List. I like the result very much, well done!

bellissima ma bellissima veramente questa fotografia dove risalta il rosso dell'ombrello, ma soprattutto la modella che si и prestata a questo capolavoro non и da meno di cui il portamento fiero e orgoglioso. Sono d'accordo con Carlo su l'accostamento rosso-nero ma sicuramente lo hai messo in sintonia con il rosso dell'ombrello. Peggio sarebbe stato se l'ombrello era bianco e i colori della cornice bianco-nero, allora sarebbe stato davvero orribile!!!!
Comunque a parte gli scherzi vedo che la foto и ben riuscita ed и piaciuta molto, per cui come sempre bravo.
