Spoleto, a town since prehistoric times, an important center of Umbria, large Roman municipality, capital of a vast and powerful Lombard duchy, proud city hall who dared to challenge the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, "caput Umbriae" during the Papal State, the capital of the department of Clitunno first and then the Trasimeno during the French domination, a city rich in history and art, but also full of delicious narrow streets, a quiet and romantic Spoleto, where the silence is the house, come and get lost in the narrow streets of my beautiful city .

Hello Silvio,
I like this nicely cropped photo where the houses look so very tightly packed together. I also enjoy the narrow range of tones of grey, light brown and ochre, the strong light and fine contrasts and the many fine details, especially the various styles of windows. It's a very well composed and well framed photo.

Spoleto come uno splendido mosaico di dettagli architetturali, c' e' grande varieta' ma il tutto e' molto armonioso, interessante e piacevole. Mi piace molto la nitidezza consistente in tutto il quadro, che e' stretto ma ricchissimo. I colori calorosi sono moderati benissimo, le ombre accentuano il grafismo affascinante della tua foto. The town has an adequate urban development plan with all the congruent tones.
Nice perspective due to your 200mm.
Noticed that you use spot metering.
Do you do that often?
I always rely on matrix.

After having seen so many interesting details of your hometown, this is a great overview over the rooftops of Spoleto. The earthen tones of the houses are truly pleasing and the tight crop gives the composition a good dynamic.

A perfect cityscape here with nothing but houses. A great view with all the different windows and roofs and you captured it all in a fine sunlight.

Hello Silvio, a tight crop that excludes the sky, but concentrates on the many different shapes and features of all those buildings.
The narrow range of colours is beautiful, especially as they are illuminated by the sunshine.
What is striking is that there seem to be no satellite dishes in evidence, great!
