Roma, Ara Pacis.
la setttimana scorsa ero a Roma e ho avuto la fortuna di trovare un tempo magnifico.
soprattutto il pomeriggio il sole creava ombre lunghe e affascinanti, come questa sulla scalinata dell'Ara Pacis - sul momento sembrava quasi che fosse l'ombra ad inseguire il ragazzo...

Roma - Ara Pacis.
last week I spent a few days with family and friends in Rome and the weather was fantastic - clear blue skies and great winter light.
especially the afternoons were beautiful, with the low sun creating long and fascinating shadows, like this one on the steps of the Ara Pacis - for a moment it looked almost as if the shadow was chasing the guy...

Although the surroundings may not be so fantastic, the shadow is. Is it heading for the exhibition of Ombre di guerra?

Fantastic play of shadows.
The shadow has such a well defined outline that one can definitely think it as an individual. It is certain that the light was very good that day.

Hello Cristina.
the title could also be evolution. Why? because looking at this shadow and then looking at the man that gave origin to it we have the clear impression that first he was leaning down a bit and then he's getting vertical, just like we did when we were evoluting.

Looking at the rest well it's your speciality, an impeccable play with the light and shadow areas and a well contrasted B&W.

Also we get a nice 3D feeling looking at the BG buildings.

Always interesting B&W pictures (you shoot in color or in B&W?), with a human element. I like the different hues you got, and I understand why persons of the north of Europe appreciate the sun!

This is almost mathematical with these delightful shapes, they divide this dark/light piece so well...may favourite part is the blotches of shadows to our right..

hai avuto sicuramente un colpo d'occhio eccezionale e grande prontezza nel riprendere la scena. Ombre protagoniste, senza dubbio, e quella del ragazzo sul muro sembra disegnata apposta.

Una foto splendida, uno scatto davvero geniale, Cristina. Occhio superbo. Ma...l'ombra й piщ piegata, piщ curva dell'uomo che pare scattante. Il suo passo sembra piщ lento, piщ affaticato. L'ombra pare piщ vecchia rispetto a quel giovane uomo. Dicotomia tra ombra e realtа? Oppure hai colto un mistero, Cristina? Chissа...
