Photographer's Note

The Grand Canal is the largest thoroughfare in Venice.
The best vantage points are the 3 bridges crossing the Grand Canal: Ponte dell 'Accademia, Ponte di Rialto and Ponte degli Scalzi. The latter is not very popular because it is located relatively far from the San Marco district, where the most tourists reach. However, Accademia, and especially Rialto, are heavily besieged.

Hello Janusz,
I assume this picture is taken from the Ponte dell'Accademia.
Beautiful with the several arriving boats and with the side view of the gondola. It was quite busy on the canal.
Attractive colours, beautiful architecture, well composed.

A good classic photo of the Grand Canal and on a very busy day. Lots of good colour and perfectly sharp in the large view.

Czesc Janusz, Warto otworzyć w nawej karcie, zeby sie pozachwycac tym widokiem z Ponte dell'Accademia. Wspaniale widać ujście Canale Grande, z Punta della Dogana i imponującą kopułą, chyba San Giorgio Maggiore. Fantastyczna ostrośc pozwala podziwiać szczegуły.

Hello Janusz,

Oh, I love this!
It seems to encapsulate everything we think about when we consider Venice: the beautiful, canalside buildings, the interconnecting canals, the gondolas and the many staging posts. The only thing missing is a bridge.
The light is lovely, the details sharp and you have insinuated an amazing sense of movement on a still photograph.
