It is not the sandal as such but wearing socks in a sandal that is unforgivable.

When Australians see someone wearing socks with sandals we immediately think of New Zealanders. At least he is wearing good quality sandals (the same as mine but never with socks). A good fun photo.

Than I would a lot English Mister see with sandals.
The man with clean short stockings.
