Ikaria island view
Icaria, also spelled Ikaria (Greek: Ικαρία), is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, 10 nautical miles (19 km) southwest of Samos. According to tradition, it derives its name from Icarus, the son of Daedalus in Greek mythology, who was believed to have fallen into the sea nearby.

Administratively, Icaria forms a separate municipality within the Ikaria regional unit, which is part of the North Aegean region. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Agios Kirykos. The historic capitals of the island include Oenoe and Evdilos.

Hello Constantino, some lovely houses situated so close to the sea, and what I can imagine must be beautiful views.
The little boats provide foreground interest along side some reflection on the water from the white building.
All bathed in lovely sunshine.

A very nice view of the town, where many people can be see along the waterfront. The sunlight was appealing and bright, and you handled the exposure of the white houses and boats very well.

Hello Costantino, Also here, as in other pictures from Greece, I find it strange that the sea is so close to the street and buildings. Have you never storms and big waves there? appealing composition with so many details to see. Lovley houses, nice boats and tourists with their luggage.

A very nice view from a high position, probably the deck of a ferry. Nice buildings and boats and quite a lot of people to enliven the view. I have a feeling most of them are going to catch a ferry, maybe this one. The colours and light are beautiful.

Hello Dear Costantino,

It looks as if you were following the skills of Icarus, to obtain this elevated view.
It's a fine shot, including so many details of the marina and of the village.
The moored boats and the blue sea set the scene well, as that of of an attractive Greek holiday location.

It is, therefore, not a surprise to see the neat white houses surrounding the harbour. The many tourists show that this is a popular destination. I wonder how it will be faring this year!

My daughter is in Greece, at the moment, she is on Crete.

Very attractive picture of this less known island located between Samos and Mykonos.
A small recreational harbour opposite the houses that were built on the steep hill.
Perhaps the photo is taken from on a larger ship.

What a charming corner with the group of colorful houses, so close to the sea, only a small walk separates them from it, the boats give a nice sailor touch.
Very effective coloring, which highlights the details of the image.

I chose this one from your latest shots simply because I like the angle you captured it from, I like seeing that white house with the blue shutters on this angle. having the boats there make a nice view too. warm light too. good one
