Photographer's Note

I saw a fallen pine tree to 'touch' on the dune,and is was still alive as you can see.The photo was taken in the beach of Arteμida (Artemis-Diana) village.

The colours of the trees are so appealing and well-saturated and they stand out marvellously from the blue sky. A wonderful landscape indeed!

Hello Danos,

It's great that the pine tree is still alive as it gives just that little bit of extra shade on those 40c summer days. Perfect density levels and light contrasts with superb saturation. The new branches at right angles to the fallen trunk add interest. Tfs!

Besides the reporting of the fallen tree, the green color of the other trees are amazingly in contrast to the dune and sky.
Wind is notable upon the branches, bright day compensate for this. A fine nature picture.

Hello Danos,
The fallen tree is like a boxer who has been knocked down, except that this tree will not rise again. It's a beautiful photo of the bright green trees growing from the light brown ground under the clear blue sky. Simple but eye-catching and attractive and very well exposed.

A very pleasing and a nice place to be by what you say which is well composed with gorgeous light placing your interest centrestage. The blue sky has given you excellent colour contrast to fresh lush green but what's more important here is how the small one survives as if being tendered and closely watched by the elderly.

Lovely to view how nature provides us with sights to treasure and your description shows you are thinking about your shots and for having the presence of mind to press the button precisely and not just sit there in awe. An opportunity extremely well grabbed. Congrats

'You can knock me down but that's not the end!'
The tree appears to be creating a barrier to anyone going straight forward; obviously the path is to the left!
An unusual but no less interesting shot.

This tree is an Aleppo pine (Pinus Haleppensis) and it has a very good resilience both to dry and barren soils (like here) and to the wind. They should make a monument to it in all Mediterranean countries because it can live where other trees can't.

Lovely green in contrast with the white sand.
