Photographer's Note

A small pier in the tiny port of Tourlida (Aitoloakarnania, Greece). Several nets are thrown on the pier in a disorderly fashion, certainly needing someone to take care of them, tidy up and, perhaps, mend them. In all cases, after fishing the nets need to be cleaned of everything (fish remnants, pieces of vegetation or even seabed) and arranged in an orderly fashion so that they are ready to be taken on the boat and, when on the fishing ground to be set with ease.

About the photo: Somehow here I tried to focus on the nets make them a "large" part of the photo, keeping however the perspective of the pier and keeping a "bit" of the lagoon in the frame. I liked the colours of the nets and floats contrasting to the dullness of the pier and the monochromatic pattern of the water.
