What a great surprize for new year!
And with each great member coming back, i fill with hope for TE'2012. It is of course the starting sign of sleepless TE nights, pondering deeply about which new photo to admire. Well, what if all my problems were so sweet :))

Anyway, it's a real pleasure to see your work again!
Love the WA effect, the colour tones, the smooth texture of the water. A beautiful sunset to watch and here the human presence is a bonus!

Your photograph may be showing a young lady saying goodbye to the sun but, for you, it is a great photograph saying hello to everyone on TE. It is good to welcome you back.
This is a quality shot. The amber sky and its equally warm reflection make a beautiful scene and a romantic atmosphere. Excellent composition, using the rule of thirds both for the seascape and the position of the figure.

A fantastic sunset with rich saturated warm colours of orange & yellow that contrast well against the womans blue top & blue grey patches of sky. Excellent sharpness & silhouettes of the rocks & horizon. Love the slight morion blur of the fg waves yet the woman standing still is pin sharp! Tfs!

πολύ καλή η ιδέα σου να επιστρέψεις στο Site για να συνεχίσομαι να βλέπομε τις όμορφες φωτογραφίες σου, όπως αυτή εδώ που μας παρουσιάζεις από το δειλινό της Ελαφόνησσου,με τη νεαρά της φωτογραφίας να απόλαμβάνει το μεγαλείο αυτό της φύσης.
Εξαιρετικά τα χρώματα με το 'πάγωμα' του σκηνικού να κάνει την φωτογραφία μοναδική.

I am so glad that you decided to come back. I have a lot of favorite photographers but you were without the doubt always on top of my list. I am still here but I am not as active as I would like to be. Also photographically I am less active. My camera stayed in the bag most of this year. I am sorry to hear that you may stay without a job too. Let's hope for the best. I know TE has plenty of disadvantages and I am one of the main complainers but I am still here although I was so sad to see several of my masters to leave.

You have selected an excellent photo for your return.
The sunset is spectacular with amazing sky and so pleasant warm colors. You have exposed and processed it perfectly to minimize the effect of the burnout. The reflection is fantastic with some rocks standing out of the water and providing a solid reference. Including a beautiful girl in the foreground was a brilliant idea. It makes the sunset photo so original, adding some life and interest here. It becomes very romantic and full of atmosphere.
The girl standing in the water but not disturbing the surface seems to be a part of the landscape, part of the nature. In most of similar attempts people have only a silhouette of a person, you have preserved some detail and color of the person which makes it more realistic.

What a surprise to see you back! I only now noticed that you have returned, because I only now and then check TE. I have not gone, but am very inactive here nowadays. :-)
An wonderfully atmospheric sunset photo from Chania! You have controlled the exposure in an excellent way and the colours are just lovely as well as the reflections. I like the way you have rendered the shadows on the foreground with lots of details and colours in spite of contra light. Also the composition is really fine. A quality shot! Welcome back!
