| Praying monk @ Meteora |, a photo from Trikala, Thessaly

Photographer's Note

I already wrote that we were late this day and we did not visit the nice monasteries of Meteora.
But I saw this monk on a hill praying and watching towards East ( to the direction of the Agia Sofia in Istanbul).

It was really difficult to captured the whole scene in my camera. This is the best photo I have.

Concerning the photo I also had to do some pp here.
The sky was not that "dark". With several layers I worked out the sky to get the most details out of it. With other layers I tried to balance the rocks.

Para poly entyposiaki lipsi, kai synama poly diaforetiki apo tis synithismenes ton Meteoron! O monaxos einai poy kanei ti megali diafora, alla kai o ouranos kovei tin anasa! Exairetiki synthesi kai kadrarisma, apsogos fotismos, yperoxa xromata! sygxaritiria!

Hi Sakis,
Great photo indeed, dramatic sky, rare scene. The monk seems to be in a dialogue with somebody that lives above these clouds.

a well cought moment with the monk up there... the heavenly sky and the pouring rain (?) onto the monastery -despite the sunlight on it- looks a bit weird but so cool...
