Photographer's Note
The ancient Greek choose an islet at side of Naxos as a special place to build a huge templo to Apolo in 530 BC. The ruler who decided to create the temple was defeated and the temple was abandoned. During Venetian times the stones of the walls were used to build the castle, but the gate was so heavy to be used and was left there.
You can see the castle in the background and the port too.
.......................

Hola Jorge,
The fg lintel and columns make a fine arch and frame the bg mountain scene nicely. Good sharpness and the whitewashed houses tightly packed together make a fine focal point. Tfs!

Hello Jorge,
This gate really works nicely as a frame of the view of the white town, but you did well to put it slightly to the side and give us a mainly free view of the buildings, catching just a glimpse of them through the "frame". This gives the photo a good balance. I have been here. The gate is quite impressive, standing alone on top of the hill.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Jorge
now this is very different indeed. Never seen this before.
I wonder how it would have looked in its prime, how the structure was and its size.
right now as it stands, its like a large window or frame just standing there, amazing how it doesn't fall. cool TE post, i've learned something new today
cheers
Craig

Hello Jorge
Beautiful picture with these remains of the past dominating the scene. The blue sky and the white village creates a attractive background for this Greek history.
Excellent technical quality with bright colours and good sharpness.
Well done, Groet Rob

This arch had endured long time through history, massively built and assuming well kept, Jorge.
A POV that show the white houses on the far side in contrast.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hi Jorge
Nobody will miss the huge 'frame' of that size but it's a fascinating ancient structures with immaculate detail. Well composed with all the interests in one go including the distant background features. A wonderful historic shot really has the feel of the warmth found in places like this and superbly standout to blue sky. You have seen some wonderful sites and a joy to see them all through your eyes and the stories that goes with it, Congrats.
Best regards

Hola Jorge.
Me gusta.
Disfruta del fin de semana.
Mis mejores deseos para ti.
Luis.

Lindo trabalho!
