Photographer's Note
Thessaloniki is the name of the second largest city of Greece, located at the north part of Greece named Macedonia.
It was found by the Greek King Kassandros of Macedonia and was given the name of his wife, Thessaloniki, the sister of the Greek King Alexander the Great.
During the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire, Thessaloniki was the second largest city of those empires, as well as it is in modern Greece.
The sea port of Thessaloniki is one of the largest and more important in the Mediterranean Sea.
