Photographer's Note
This is the boiler which is extracts the raki (traditional alcohol drink of Creta Greece)from the grapes. You can see how it works, and what is left from the grapes (at the left side).Of course this is an old system not much different than the new ones. This particular boiler at the same place is in working condition since the second world war.
The working idea is that the steam which is coming from the boiler,is passing through cold water and the raki is coming.Of course secrets of each producer are going from the one to another.

It's a funny subject and the note is intereting, but I think you should have stepped closer to the apparatus. It's quite small in the image and there are a lot of unimportant surrounding, that doesn't add to the story.

In other words that's an alembic or still. Is this legal to produce raki with that sort of equipment and surrounding ? Very unusual and interesting subject but I agree with Torben that a closer view would be better.
