Photographer's Note

Crete is big (and long) island lying between Agean and Libyan sea. At the SW end of this really beautiful island there is an adjoining deserted island called Lafonissi (local name of the more formal Elafonissos).
You can go there from the main island (Crete) walking a shallow channel of sea that separates it. The south part of this island is full of small bays with strange pink sand.
I visited 4 to 5 times, all in august, and is very crowded, but if wait for the sun to set most of them returning back to their places leaving nature alone again.
