Temple of Apollo Delphi, a photo from Fokida, Central Greece

Photographer's Note

An upward view of the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, Greece, taken late afternoon right on closing time. I liked the warm cold color contrasts between the sunlit columns and the blue sky and the compositional principle of three. Delphi is in the mountains northwest of Athens and well worth a daytrip or overnight stay.

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue trиs bas qui donne beaucoup d'ampleur aux trois colonnes. Le beau ciel bleu en arriиre plan est superbe.

The upwards point of view gives the image depth and takes advantage of the contrasting background offered by the sky. Very good rendering of the textural detail.

Le cadrage serrй met les colonnes en йvidence. La prise de vue permet de voir les dйtails et les couleurs des colonnes du temple d'Apolon а Delphi. La lumiиre donne un bon contraste aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journйe.

Good composition , not the usual remains of the temple but a single detail of the columns with golden light in contrast with the sky
A place to stay and enjoy a very good greek food, the small museum and the ambiance at sunset

Towering pillars of the Apolo temple, well collcted sight from low POV, Chris.

this type of photo intrigues me, it makes me wonder what's out there in Greece other than the classic touristy shots that are to be had.

a fine textural photo, and i like the upwards pov rather than the usual straight on type of shot.
