Motive: Spring that me prompted to take this picture, was the immense view.
Considerable: And the morning fog that creates impressive effect! captured from place where bust the Kafantari from the centre of Karpenisi'o
The Municipality of Karpenissi administratively belongs to the Prefecture of Evritania, which in turn, is part of Sterea Ellada, a central department of Greece.
Evritania, an area of 2047 sq. m. in total, borders on the Prefectures of Fthiotida, Karditsa, and Etolokarnania, and is mainly characterised by its historical tradition and its unique scenic beauty. It is the tourist destination that can satisfy all different preferences of its visitors, offering the chance to escape through adventures or relaxing activities. It is an area that has plenty of historical and archaeological, as well as, religious, pilgrimage sights to visit.
The climate of the prefecture is Mediterranean, continental mountainous, of mild winter and cool summer. Evritania is a clearly mountainous region, located at an altitude of approximately 3.281 feet, allocating significant water resources and covered in its majority by rich forests. At its largest extent Evritania is lying on Pindos mountain main body, and is encircled by the mountains Agrafa, Timfristos, Oksia, Panetoliko, Helidona, and Kalliakouda.
