Photographer's Note

travelling in the Aegean sea, is a familiar route for me. However, every time I travel I have the same excitement and agony to reach my destinastion. This time of the year the number of tourists travelling is very small, even the number of people travelling in general is smaller than in the summer. This gives you the chance to spend sometime for yourself, pay attention to your inner thoughts and start thinking about memories that have passed and what may happen in the future.

This was my journey in the Aegean Sea.

Hi Costantino. I like the sentiments generated by this photo as one feels the transition in the weather as wind brings clouds which bring rain as the deck seems wet. Yet, the sun is still shining and creates a nice light on the ship's side in contrast to the dark sea. The tilt of the boat makes me feel a if I am on board. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Hello Costantino, Very nice picture from the journey in the Aegean sea, it must be great and I wouldn't mind also to make it. Very nice nostalgic note accompanying it. It is nice to be somewhen only with your thoughts. Strange view of this empty space on the ship.

Hi Costantino,
I liked the way you divided the frame into three partitions. First, a colorful and well lighted portion , the body of the vessel, then the shaded black sea and then the sky with clouds and lights and shades.. I do not suggest any technical reason but this seem very esthetic to my eye..

J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. Tu mets bien en opposition les couleurs vives du bateau а la mer et au soleil couchant. La gestion de la lumiиre est parfaite.

πολύ όμορφη εικόνα, κατάφερες να παρουσιάσεις μια εμπειρία του ταξιδιού στο Αιγαίο με πλοίο με απλό, γραφιστικό και γλαφυρό τρόπο. Μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ η σύνθεσή σου, η κίνηση προς τα εμπρός και η αίσθηση ότι υπάρχει μόνο το πλοίο, η θάλασσα και ο ουρανός, όλα τα άλλα είναι μακριά. Θαυμάσιο το φως και τα χρώματα. A shot from a moving liner at sundown but very cool and a fine place to relax. I wouldn't mind being there as long as I could pass on the smoking and drinking bit!! Well looks like a good time was had by you a shot full of lovely rich warm colours, depth and long perspective in particular red is indeed look delicious in natural ambient shaded by wonderful skyscape. You have shown the detail up brilliantly. Great shot.

The number of tourists travelling in that time of the year is quite limited, you write. In any case there's nobody to see on deck. An unusual sight for me because in Greece I've only travelled during holiday periods.
The beginning of a boat trip is always exciting and in Greece you have the advantage that your boat can moor on other islands before you reach your destination. Once on the open sea I begin to find a boat trip rather boring but I do know that other people do consider this fantastic.
I like the colour contrasts on this picture with the red upper part of the boat and the dark water as extremes. Also the contrast between the threatening clouds in the right upper corner and the strong sunlight shining on the boat.
