Photographer's Note
"Do boys dream about
Living in a constant ecstasy
Do boys dream about
The same kind of things
That young girls dream
What do the boys dream
What do the boys all dream of
Do boys dream about
Life in space and hallucination...
Do boys dream about
The great escape of the mythical monsters...
Do the boys dream about
the wonders of the world and all in colour...
What do the boys dream
What do the boys all dream of"

A superb frame, the b/w has enhanced the frame, nice contrast, and yes, took me to my childhood. Lovely.

Hi Robi,
Attraction certainly is on the sky to which you 'very wisely' have given enough room for the exhibition. Dramatic conversion with great midtones.
Engaging caption for such a poetic composition.

Maria

Hi Robi,
due to B&W this composition has a very dramatic atmosphere! And thanks B&W the cars are unobtrusive. A very attractive capture of this nice place!

Attractive B&W Robert, it's a shame the kite doesn't stand out a little more. Nevertheless, your picture is very poetic, well done.

Pozdrav,
Sneza

This is definitively too beautiful to be from this century, Rob...!
This is that good, ol' school of photography of the 30' through the beginning of 50'...
The times when they observed the rules...
When the black had to be black and the white had to be white...
Incredible light...
Apollo must be your good buddy, buddy...
A something to dream about... To be back with your childhood memories...
The kites...
I still remember mine...

Really well put together shot Robi, taken in superb light. That sky is really something.
One criticism - the kite is a bit lost against that gap in the clouds. Maybe if you'd waited until it was fully in front of one of those white fluffy clouds it would have been more visible.
Everything else works well, especially the placement of the boy and the way he's looking up - it draws you into the picture.
Good work.
Cheers,
Ben

I think every time I try to take photos of people flying kites they must use very long strings as I have never been able to get both the person or the kite in without being so far away they are tiny dots. ;D
This is great and you even managed to find the right POV to make good use of the diagonal of the string. The fact a that the boy's gaze is also following the line is added bonus. The sky is wonderful and the B&W conversion superb.

Well you tell me :) but speaking about kites I was watching someone for the longest time just a little while ago and he was totally into his play with the wind and his kite and he had a huge huge kite and I was afraid that he would take off with the thing ... but he stayed on the ground but we were all dreaming with him. This is such a wonderful dramlike photo with these clouds and this person standing on the field, totally absorbed with his play, at least for a while before reality had him back. I like the wide open view in this photo, everything seems possible. Wonderful ... Barbara.

Hello Rob,
That kite is so eager to be drawn up into the wide sky. Crisp, bright and breezy feel - with a touch of nostalgia.
A very memorable image.
Best wishes....Maggie

hi robi, me again
"what do boys dream about"??? ... ha! a penny for their thoughts ... oh, what the heck ... i'd be tempted to pay even more sometimes!
... dreamy look indeed, appealing skies, nicely shaped clouds; action in the skies and on earth aswell.
love the "size contrast" between life "on earth" and life "up in the sky"
the spot on conversion and tones place the action in a time 'out of time' ... very nice!
well done!
dora
