Photographer's Note

Drachenfels above Rhine river, a view unobstructed by bushes...

This summit bears a ruin and a restaurant. The latter used to be an ugly concrete bar, following the zeitgeist of the seventies, and has luckily been replaced by a transparent glass cube which is much more appropriate for the site.

Drachenfels is very popular among our Dutch friends as the scenery is completely different from what is available in their country, and the distance from the border near Venlo is only 130 km. There even is a humorous saying that Drachenfels is the Netherlands' highest summit.
But this joke is based on poor research.
The highest NL summit is Vaalserberg, the Belgian-Dutch-German tripoint at 322,40 m. As for Drachenfels, you would have to make one Dutchman stand on the very summit and then make a second Dutchman climb on his shoulders to reach the same elevation :-)

Extender 2x employed.
